The Transformation

Sweet and happy, bouncing child
Eyes so open, smile so wide
Hugs and kisses, such a joy!
So content, this child of mine!!

Change occurs, a scary sight:
Whining, crying, discontent
Nothing pleases, nothing smooth,
Nothing tranquil, chaos reigns.

Transformation so complete
Diagnosis soon is sought.
Mother learns the remedy
Little baby needs a nap!
