Little boy, not yet two
Learned new words this week.

Doctor
Nurse
Hurt
Shot
I.V.

He saw the doctor
Wednesday.
The nurse gave him a shot.
"Lady...hurt."

He saw the doctor
Thursday.
The nurse gave him a shot.
"Lady,..hurt."

He saw more doctors and nurses
Thursday
At Children's Hospital.
Learned of inhalants
I.V.'s
X-rays.
"Man...hurt."
"Done! Done!"

Medicines.
Milky pink.
Clear pink.
Dots on food.
Awful stuff.
He slept on daddy's chest
On the couch.
When he slept.

He saw the doctor
Friday.
No shots today.
Take medicine,
Come back.

Asthma.
