Number Two Son

Jolly little fellow
Only six months old
Standing in his crib
Holding to the railing, crying
Until mommy comes to rescue him
Another time.

Daily growing stronger
As new places he explores.
Very busily
Investigating chairs and toys and
Doors.

Going under tables as he crawls
Around the room;
Roaming on the carpet,
Looking, touching, and mouthing.
Into the room comes mommy.
Nap time!
Go to sleep!
