Prayer.
Talking to God
About things He already knows.

Realizing
Acknowledging
His sovereignty.

Praise
For His wisdom
               power
               knowledge
               salvation.

Praise
That He condescends
To interact with lowly man.

Realizing
Acknowledging
Our helplessness
Our sin
Our weakness.

Understanding
That He alone is the source
Of all wisdom
          comfort
          health
          hope
          love.

Knowing
That He knows our thoughts
Has felt our feelings
And yet did not sin.

Being comforted
For the Holy Spirit
Guides our words before God
Even when not uttered.

Lord, I need forgiveness
                       strength
                       wisdom
                       comfort.

Lord, you give forgiveness
                            strength
                            wisdom
                            comfort.

Thank you Lord.
Thank you for loving me
                           saving me
                           working to make me
More Christlike.

Thank you for allowing me
To interact with you
To talk to you
To pour out my heart,
Knowing
That you will hear me.

Thank you Lord
For prayer.
