Reunion

Ten years have gone by.
Have they been harsh or kind?
As the years are reviewed,
Just what comes to your mind?

From the hours that we spent
At our desks in O. T.
To the day that we walked
Down to get our degree.

We were busy preparing
For jobs and for roles.
For life after college
We worked towards our goals.

Ten years now have passed
And I wonder ‘bout you.
Are you happy and healthy
Or feeling quite blue?

Have you married? Had children?
Got a master’s degree?
I wonder if you
Ever think about me?

Are you teaching? Homemaking?
Or preaching God’s news?
I wonder which paths you
Decided to choose.

Are you living for God?
Is He first in your life?
Are you filled with His love
Or with anger and strife?

I sit here and wonder
If someday we’ll meet;
New lives to discover,
Old tales to repeat.

But wait! Here’s our chance
To renew some old ties–
Our ten year reunion
We will soon realize.

In October this year
We will gather our class
To see all your friends
Let us be there...en masse!

So mark on your calendar,
Don’t stay away.
Come back to C. C.
This next Homecoming Day.
