Life |
|
Life is hard and life is rough
There's never, never time enough
For all the chores that must be done
(And undone chores do weigh a ton!)
For children cry and children call
(By now I'm sure you've heard it all:
I didn't do it; it's his fault;
That shake's not mine, I want a malt...)
And phone calls always come in twos;
It rains when you pass out The News;
The kids get sick, the car breaks down
But don't let all this get you down.
For friends you have to help you out
And that's what friends are all about.
And God is watching from above
To keep you with his gentle love.
The road He trod was oh, so steep;
His pain and sorrow very deep.
But He stood firm and conquered sin
So heaven could be entered in.
Now while we're here upon the earth
We can rejoice in second birth.
He'll give us peace and calm our fears,
He'll hold us up and dry our tears.
The greatest Friend of all He'll be;
Be still and He'll take care of thee. |
