Your Father Loves You |
|
Newborn babe, your Father loves you.
Hear the joy when you were born!
All these years, the wait is over,
Rejoice in the breaking morn.
Newborn babe, your Father clothes you
In new garments white as snow.
Daily cleansing He will give you,
Caring for you as you grow.
New born babe, your Father gives you
Sisters, brothers worldwide.
As along life's roads you travel
They will be right by your side.
Newborn babe, your Father feeds you
With the milk you need to live.
When you're older, stronger, wiser,
He has lots of meat to give.
Newborn babe, your Father guides you.
Character He builds each day,
Discipline to strengthen your life,
Encouragement along the way.
Newborn babe, your Father shows you
How to live a blameless life:
Love, joy, peace and patience, kindness
Where there once was hate and strife.
Newborn babe, your Father holds you
When in sorrow you will cry.
Comfort, mending He will give you
Wiping tears from every eye.
Newborn babe, your Father tells you
Of His promise to be there.
Not forsaking, never leaving,
He's as close as whispered prayer.
Newborn Christian, Welcome! Welcome!
To your brand new family.
God's your Father, we are brothers
Throughout all eternity. |
