Lord, I Need You, Too

Shirley's Prayer

Back to index page
My time draws near, my race is won
Soon I will see my Lord.
Angels in heaven rejoice on that day,
It tells me in God's word.

Thank you, my Lord, for paying the price
So I could be set free
To live with you in heaven above
For all eternity.

Ease my passing as I come,
Comfort those left behind.
For all my friends who don't know you,
Salvation let them find.

You died and rose again, my Lord,
My debt–you paid it all.
And when I finally see your face,
At your feet I'll fall.

Thank you for your matchless grace
That saved a wretch like me.
Thank you for eternal life
In heaven I will be.

So let me leave with peaceful heart,
My race in life is done.
And may I glorify my Lord,
Jesus, God's Holy Son.
